Treat the Audition like a Job Interview.

Treat the audition like a job interview is the first rule you should follow. It means that not only you’re there on time, have prepared the material, have your headshot and resume (already stapled together), and are dressed appropriately, but you’ve also done some research about the project. Which genre is it?

Is it a drama? What kind of comedy? Auditioning for “Two and a Half Man” is completely different than auditioning for “SNL.”

It's for a new TV show or for one that's already running? Maybe it's for a feature or a short film. You should take all of this into consideration before you make your choices.
