Lighting for Portraits and Actor's Headshots

Lighting for Portraits and Actor’s Headshots is not rocket science. The two most important things to remember are: first, you must use the light to create mood and setting, and second you must use the light to either enhance or negate the models features.  If you are shooting a "bad guy" you might want to create a darker setting as opposed to shooting a leading lady which will require some soft beauty lighting.
